Red Vein Removal
Red veins on the face can be common and can cause for concern. These veins are usually damaged or distorted, the blood pools within areas of the damaged vein, enlarging the vein, resulting in visible red veins we see in the mirror.
Red veins are usually inherited, but may also occur in pregnant women, women on the contraceptive pill and in cigarette smokers.
Visible veins, broken capillaries and general redness due to Rosacea can successfully be treated with Laser and IPL skin treatments as these treatments remove the vessel all together. The treatments are non-invasive and pain free and the results are medically proven to be effective.
Characteristics
Blood pools in the superficial veins that are damaged. Over time, the affected veins pool with blood, enlarge and can become knobbly.
Varicose veins are enlarged veins that often twist and can bulge above the surface of the skin. They may be blue, red, or flesh-coloured, and Spider veins often look like red webs.
Skin Treatment Options
DIATHERMY
Diathermy or thermo coagulation is a treatment that uses a very fine needle to prick the skin and then an ultra rapid radio frequency current is passed through the area which is heated and sealed. This precision technique is used to coagulate certain superficial cutaneous imperfections and veins, in order to minimise their appearance or to completely eliminate them.
IPL SKIN REJUVENATION
IPL is a gentle, non-invasive way to strengthen and remove unwanted damaged capillaries. We use a safe and effect Intense Pulsed Light that converts into heat energy when absorbed by red or brown pigment. We can selectively target and remove veins with the natural elimination process through our lymphatic system. This treatment reduces the appearance of the overall redness to the skin and permanently shuts down the damaged vein.
LASER PIGMENTATION REMOVAL
Our Candela Alexandrite Laser uses a focused beam of light that is attracted to red and brown pigment. The pigment in the skin absorbs the light which is then converted to heat which shatters the pigmented lesion. The pigment will instantly darken to a purple or grey colour, the vessels then shut down and become ineffective and is eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.
